HANOI: A man was burned by a mobile phone in Vietnam yesterday, state-run media said.

He was in the central city of Danang when he felt something hot in his pants pocket. The Nokia 8250 model was too hot to handle. He removed his trousers and when he smashed the phone to remove the sim card the battery was smouldering. DPA
